“The Pittsboro Business Association would like to thank the Chathamites who turned out in force for Pittsboro’s Tree Lighting Ceremony, as well as Small Business Saturday. We loved seeing all of your smiling faces!
We’re thrilled to tell you that there are more festivities to come; “Miracle on Hillsboro Street” will be held in the historic Chatham Courthouse on Saturday December 17th at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. This will be the trial of the century, when Kris Kringle is forced to prove he is real. Local theater troupe, the Phoenix Theater Company, will be producing the performances. Chatlist host Gene Galin will be playing the role of reporter. This event is sponsored by Holmes Oil Company, Inc./Cruizers.
Last year, both performances were sold out, so make sure to buy your tickets ASAP. Tickets are sold at Chatham Business Services, Pittsboro Toys, Reclamations Home Furnishings, and the Pittsboro Roadhouse. The cost is $5 or 5 non-perishable food items. All proceeds will go to CORA Food Pantry. Kids under 6 will get in free.
Last but not least, Santa needs your help! We are asking local kids to write letters in defense of Santa. Let the court know that Santa is real! As we know, Santa has important work to do this December. Letters can be dropped off at Pittsboro Toys, Reclamations Home Furnishings, and all 3 Chatham libraries by December 15th. The libraries will be hosting letter writing sessions.
Please join us in rooting for a Miracle on Hillsboro Street. Enjoy Pittsboro on December 17th and every day!”
