Subject: Interview with Unaffiliated Chatham Commission Candidate Peyton Holland
Pittsboro, NC – We have a somewhat unique situation in this year’s local elections in Chatham County. A local Moncure resident, Peyton Holland, was able to garner enough signatures from the community to be placed on the election ballot for the Chatham County Commissioner’s race in District 2.
I took the opportunity to sit down with Peyton Holland a couple of weeks ago and conduct an interview with him to learn about the unique situation and to learn a little bit more about what makes him tick.
Peyton Holland talks about how he got on ballot and why he is running. In an atmosphere of partisan bickering and fighting and meanness, Peyton is running as an unaffiliated candidate. He managed to get over 2,000 signatures to get on the ballot.
Peyton Holland talks about growing up in the Chatham County School System. He attended Monsure school and Northwood High School. He works with students and teachers in his job at SkillsUSA.
Peyton Holland talks about how his experience will help him be a good county commissioner. Peyton discussed how his position in SkillsUSA has taught him to deal with teachers, students and businesses looking to hire young talent.
