Subject: Are you still around?
Several months ago, I advertised I had oak leaf hydrangeas for sale. Still do. But today an email arrived asking “Hey- Are you still around?” At age 80, it struck me as being very funny. Teetering on the edge can sometimes leave even me wondering- Am I still around? Those that used to refer to me as ‘a square’ never seem to bother wondering if I am around, still.
Two weeks ago, I purchased a garment at P.T.A. for an important party. The waist size looked right, but when I slipped it on, I defiantly knew I was a round- quite a big round at that.
“See you around-” one of my pals shouted as we parted a few days ago. But would they, in a few weeks, a few months, even years, wonder if I am ‘still around’.
Some will think me a square for putting this out there but, when when you have been a round for eighty years, sometimes you aren’t even aware you are putting anything anywhere- and if you are, two seconds later you can’t find it . . .

Two weeks ago, I was with friends at a Flea Market. One bought two bags of marbles. Just now wondering- Did she know I had lost mine?
