Subject: Be a part of a gardening community in exchange for garden goodies!
Communities in Schools Chatham County works with youth in our Youth Garden. All our produce goes to others who need help putting fresh veggies on their tables. We donated over 1,000 lbs. of produce last year!
Our garden needs enthusiastic garden volunteers for watering and some garden maintenance. An ideal fit would be someone who has gardening experience and a willingness to work with others in a cooperative effort to help provide our local community with healthy, fresh produce. In return, volunteers can pick some of the fruits of our labor for their table!
Our Youth Garden is located in downtown Siler City between Against His Will and the tire repair at the corner of 2nd Ave. and 2nd Street. To sign up to be part of our gardening team get in touch with Gwen or Geo at 919.663.0116.
