For the record I want to make it clear I see great value in people like Mike Cross who will bridge party lines to WORK with others to get things done . Not all Democrats are leftist progressive socialist and not all Republicans are extreme far right constitutional fanatics.
I left the Democratic party for the same reason I wont join the Republican party .. I think both party’s have lost the ability to bridge the gap between each other and actually get something productive done for the people who vote them in . It seams like both party’s have agendas that do not reflect the wishes of the voters who put them in office . I haven’t jumped on the TEA party bandwagon yet but I can strongly relate to their cause . I encourage everyone to become informed voters .
I encourage everyone to voice their opinions and most of all I encourage people to get out and vote . Elections have been won and lost in this county over low voter turn out . You need to encourage everyone you know to get out and vote . Its the only way we can really make a positive change in Chatham County . I will vote a split ticket again for those who I feel will get the job done and I encourage people to NEVER vote a straight party ticket . I think that’s a sign of ignorance and lack of desire to actually vote for the right reasons .
Take time to dig and learn more about who your voting for and pay less attention to the mud slinging and more attention to who can do the job they are elected to do .
