Subject: Dog Obedience Classes Starting at CCCC
Dog Obedience classes are starting at CCCC in Pittsboro, beginning Friday, January 29th. This semester two classes are being offered: The first for beginner owner and dog and the second for dogs and owners who have taken a basic class and want to improve on what they have learned. A more detailed description follows below.

Beginner Dog Obedience. A fun yet intensive beginner obedience class for dogs over 6 mos old. Students will learn to train their dogs, with positive reinforcement, to walk on a loose leash, come when called, sit, down and stand. A “must†for all new dog owners. No dog is too old to learn. First class is mandatory orientation – no dogs – owners only.

Fridays, Jan. 29 thru March 11, at 3:00p thru 4:30p
Advanced Beginner Dog Obedience Class. This class will help you and your dog strengthen basic obedience skills and perform them around distractions; refine and strengthen basic commands by adding elements of distance and duration, with a focus on teambuilding, come, stay (sit and down), heeling (with or without a leash) and the stand. For graduates of Basic Dog Obedience Class or equivalent. No mandatory orientation for this class. Bring yourself, your dog and lots of soft treats
