CCL 5th Birthday Celebration!
Saturday, Oct 10 from 5-8pm
Chatham Community Library Courtyard
197 Hwy 87N, Pittsboro
You don’t want to miss this! Chatham Community Library is turning 5 years old and we are having a party!
There will be singing, dancing, food, crafts, and lots of fun for everyone! The festivities will take place in the courtyard area just outside the end of the library building facing the college from 5 to 8pm.
Music will be provided by Pittsboro’s own Tommy Edwards and The Bluegrass Experience as well as our own staff member Wes Collins, who was one of six winners out of 800 entries this year at the 2015 Kerrville New Folk Music Songwriters Competition. Tommy was twice named World Champion Bluegrass Guitarist and has recorded and performed live with an array of bluegrass greats. He has recorded multiple solo discs as well as many albums with the Bluegrass Experience. Tommy and friends formed The Bluegrass Experience in 1971 and by 1972 they had won the World’s Championship Bluegrass Band prize. All the musicians are incredible and you will be amazed!
The awesome Deli-icious Food Truck will be here to offer some wonderful food options for dinner as will Barney’s Famous Hot Dogs. For dessert, we will have everyone’s favorite- the Mapleview Ice Cream truck!
