Lord of the Flies
Summer Camp
for boys, from ages 6 to 15
Your son will learn about leadership skills, survival skills, group dynamics, conflict resolution, community building. They will explore the boundaries of civility and they may experience the loss of innocence. They may learn how to start a fire, the art of pig roasting, and building their own shelters. They will participate in war games, while learning how to develop home made weapons.
They will have opportunities to explore the darkness of man’s heart. And of course, there will be plenty of time available for internal soul searching and personal reflection.
We offer an interesting menu of foods. Campers will learn about sustainability as they forage for their daily meals.
Evenings will feature our famous
“You eat what you can kill” pig roasts
One lucky camper will be awarded a conch shell at an end of camp award ceremony
Added surprise bonus: Sometime during the camp an unannounced parachute drop will take place.
“It will be the camping experience of a lifetime that they will never forget. It may turn out to be the most life changing experience of their lives.”
Campers will be picked up at drop-off points in Pittsboro and Siler City. They will be taken to a pristine undisclosed location in the unzoned area of Chatham County.
No modern electronics or conveniences are allowed. Please leave all cellphones, tablets, etc. at home
