Subject: Better Broadband Service in Chatham
It was encouraging to see the Chatlist post from northeastern Chatham in regards to gaining better internet service. Please show your support for this effort if you live in the area. It seems that competition is the only way to get better service. Incumbent providers seem to have no initiative to improve service unless someone else moves in.
The FCC is requiring greater speeds to be deployed. On Dec 11, 2014 the FCC released this order raising the level at which rural broadband should be with the use of Connect America Funding.

I still have no wired service at my home but look forward to Randolph Telephone bringing FTTH in August 2015! It’s been a long wait–too long.
