Subject: Artists invited to submit a proposal to be part of Pop! Downtown Siler City
From March through May 2015, artists from North Carolina will have the opportunity to be part of the Pop! Downtown Siler City art series, which will fill empty and idle storefront windows with art focused on the theme of Chatham Rabbits. We are looking for a range of artistic installations and urban art interventions inspired by the theme of Chatham Rabbits, as well as the location, history, and general context of Siler City.
A couple things to keep in mind as you develop your proposal:
– Your artwork should be appropriate for a storefront window on public streets. You’ll receive great exposure to a range of audiences, kids and adults alike.
We are seeking proposals for high-quality, dynamic approaches to activating underutilized storefront window spaces empty spaces and current businesses. If you would like to incorporate a series of 2-D work in your storefront window please consider a narrative or theme to connect the individual works into a whole.
