Subject: About firewood and Christmas
I have heated with firewood for 30 years. If I am flat out before winter, I order my wood in August so it can cure sufficiently for the season when I will need it. I do not expect the man who cuts, delivers and stacks it for me (for $200 for a year’s supply) to have done so for all of his customers in advance of winter. If I need more during the winter, I order it well before I run out. That way I can mix the loads until the fresh load is cured. That is the nature of fire wood, it must cure.
Goodnite Mark, I hope you have a happy new year. Many of us are living close to the edge, just the one bill to pay sounds pretty good to me. A ticket is what keeps many of us honest, or at least alert, and it is the price we pay for speeding. You also knew your mother would need that investment, and I am glad you had the resources to help her out.
The light is indeed returning. Happy New Year to all.
