A fascination with hieroglyphics, Morse code, pictograms, and musical notations led to a fateful day in fourth grade in the school library.
That’s when I learned that the tiny symbol on the spine of a book represented the publisher’s name and was called a logo. The people who made them were called graphic designers. I was hooked.
After college, I worked with a printer and two small graphic design studios. Then for five years I designed for both the university and the medical center at Duke University. I went on to co-own a design/print partnership on 9th Street in Durham for five years. Then in 1997, I founded Lesley Landis Designs.
I’ve done a bunch of different work including Books, Brochures, Doorhangers, Logos, Menus, Packaging, Posters, Post cards, Print ads, Rack cards, Signage, Table tents… so much more.
Some local clients include: Bella Donna Italian Restaurant, Carolina Wren Press, Chatham Mills Farmer’s Market, Mark Hewitt Pottery, North Carolina Pottery Center, Small B&B, and Oakleaf Restaurant.
I like working with clients to develop a unique visual brand that will represent them and their work -OR- take what they have and improve on it
Check out my work and call me if you have questions or have a graphic design need. ~Lesley
