Subject: Last week to vote for NHS Arts Ed program
Each year in October to celebrate National Arts & Humanities Month, KRIS wine and Americans for the Arts hold a Facebook contest to grant $25,000 for public school arts education programs in the US (K-12). The top school receives $5000. Other leading vote getters receive $1000. You must be 21 to vote. You may vote once each day thru October 31.
Two years ago, Northwood received $1000. Last year we missed receiving funds by less than 10 votes.
Currently, NHS is in 10th place and the ONLY NORTH CAROLINA SCHOOL in the top 20. The current leaders are adding 100 votes a day.
If you have 30 seconds, we really need a big community effort to stay among the leading schools and hopefully take the $5000 this year!
