Chatham Serves Fall 2014
*We love Chatham County! October 5th, 8:30*
We know that you do, too. And like all communities, there are situations, places, and people in Chatham that need help and healing. Twice a year at Chatham Community Church, we cancel our regular Sunday morning services and meet needs all across the county. We call it Chatham Serves.
Over the past seven years, we’ve put in over 4,000 work hours to do what we love to do: engage our world for good. We invite you to join us.
We’re going to be fixing homes, landscaping schools, sewing sleeping bags for the homeless, cooking meals, visiting older adults and more—almost 20 different projects meeting needs all across the county.
If you want to love your neighbors and your world, or if you just need volunteer and community hours, come and join us. We have projects for people of all ages, interests and abilities, kids to senior adults!
We will meet at Woods Charter School where we will offer breakfast and get you connected with a service team. We are also providing child-care upon request for the littlest ones, birth to three years old.

It’s helpful for planning purposes to have folks sign up in advance, but if you forget or just wake up on Sunday morning and want to come, please do!
Donations of the following items are welcome: Non-perishable single-serving size child friendly food donations, knitting yarn, puzzles (appropriate for people aged 11 and up), positive, uplifting young adult novels or Christian DVDs, unusable clothes, and old linens , to be remade into sleeping bags for the homeless. One special item needed is a full or twin size mattress set.
