Subject: Who or what will protect you from evil people?
People who cannot care for themselves need other people to care for them.
Parents are responsible for the care and welfare of their children. Children are legally defined as “infants” until they can assume responsibility for themselves legally. We had to reset how we legally treat “children” when more and more “children” committed more heinous crimes.
If YOU cannot protect yourself, you need someone to be responsible for you. YOU need a parent. A guardian. YOU are an infant and should NOT be afforded the privileges, duties, deference of an adult; someone who IS responsible for oneself. I don’t think you should be able to vote or go out in public without adult/guardian supervision. A father? A husband? A legal guardian to be responsible for YOUR welfare or protection..
LAW ENFORCEMENT CANNOT PROTECT YOU! Ask any law enforcement officer and they will declare in no uncertain terms, law enforcement is not responsible for your personal protection. Every culture; every society throughout human history understands every human has an individual, personal right AND RESPONSIBILITY to protect and defend oneself and one’s family. PERIOD.
There are evil people in this world, this nation, and this state. There are predators who will kill your pets, llamas, family members if given the chance. You can call law enforcement and/or Animal Control, or the New York Times but if something is attacking your llama, a family member, orYOU, how long will you wait?
Much of Chatham County is more than two minutes from law enforcement, medical help, emergency personnel. How long can you wait?
One dead llama, shame on you. Two dead llamas, shame on me.
Studies prove criminals and evil people fear an armed citizen more than law enforcement.
If you take away (or demand the government take) the ability I have to protect myself and my family against the criminals around me, and put that responsibility elsewhere, you have taken OUR liberty and left US with tyranny.
I Agree 100%. It’s on the news all the time. Owning A gun for you & yours is almost a have to not a want to. The shooting of little children as well as others is becoming so frequent that it’s scarey. I own guns for self preservation and the safety of family, pets and even inanimate things is a right given to us in the constitution of the United States Of America. I believe in being very careful with any firearm but we have to protect what is ours. God, family, & country are the most important things along with the other amendments to the constitution. We need to appreciate our members of the service both past & present for keeping our county & our people safe. There are times we don’t need to know how they are doing this just that they are. Just my two cents worth. Sincerely, Shelby Hewett
