Subject: Democrat candidates’ “intentions and heart” as “public servants”
Do our Democrat candidates “. . .care about poor people”? We are supposed to “look” at their “intentions and heart[s]”?
That is beyond absurd. Inane. Let’s all look at the intentions and hearts of our Republican candidates for BOC and what do we see so clearly? Evil. Uncaring. But the intentions and hearts of Democrats are so full of love and caring.
How can we measure Karen Howard’s “public service” on the school board? By what measures can we determine success or achievement? As compared to the performance of who else?
Democrat “public servants” get credit for simply being on the list and/or showing up. (Actually they don’t really have to show up either.) They simply have to care enough to be on the list.
You think registering as Democrat means you have good intentions and care about poor people and the environment? Again, beyond absurd. You think registering as Democrat means you care more about children and the environment than those evil Republicans? Is that all it takes?
What about the rule of law? The U.S. Constitution? Individual rights? Preserving our American culture and way of life?
Remember the Democrat-controlled Board of Commissioners establishing Chatham County as Sanctuary for Illegal Aliens? Remember the higher cost of government buildings to build “Green”? (Did ANYONE ever prove the value of the higher costs? NO!) Remember the property values they stuck at the highest market value in 2008 and we are all living with now? That is where all this increased spending comes from. Remember the extra taxes they tried to impose by a vote that was summarily crushed by the voters? Remember the “free” “grant money” that was thrown to groups who later sued Siler City? Remember the zoning grab that forced government zoning on corridors the liberals decided they know better than individual owners?
If local Democrats “cared about poor people” they would do (and would have done) everything possible to encourage business, jobs, the private sector instead of growing government. When local government revenues and budgets increase, the private sector economy decreases. Government funding has to come from the private sector FIRST. THAT HURTS POOR PEOPLE.
When will Chatham Democrats be evaluated by their ACTIONS instead of their “intentions”? What makes you think ALL Republicans have nothing but evil intentions? When will Democrats be evaluated by how many poor people get OUT of poverty instead of how many MORE people get government assistance?
