Subject: The beautiful lady
Of the many people in Chatham County who have participated in the giving life of Donna Biancco she is truly Bella Donna – the beautiful lady.
As for the reference to naming Bella Donna restaurant after a poison – well, I suppose this is right if it were spelled in that way. “Bella” means beautiful, and “Donna” is lady. Belladonna is a plant of the nightshade variety and to certain people it can be poisonous, especially those allergic to tomatoes. But… having eaten at Donna’s I have to say not only did I survive I did thrive in heart, body and soul. A bit gushy but somebody has to offset all this nastiness, wouldn’t you say?
Love to Donna,
Brad Page (the name my father gave me)
