Subject: Chatham Chatlist – Jenkins Propane
Another perspective on Jenkins Propane – I am a new resident of Pittsboro this year, and my landlord recently installed propane tanks to help manage the high electric heating costs. There were issues with scheduling initial delivery, as the anticipated delivery days were put off several times.
However, the only time we had a service interruption was following a significant overdue propane bill. The personnel at Jenkins have always been polite and helpful to me.
I do not know how things were managed previously, or if there has been a change in service quality. Everyone has told me (and I believe them!) that it has been a very unusually cold winter. I think this may have had an effect on the demand and busy-ness of the company this year.
I do not think it is unreasonable for a company to expect its clients to pay on time. After all, that company has to pay its employees, fix its trucks, and pay taxes.
