You would be surprised. I jumped on DSL 5 years ago when it came down Rosser RD (off Mays Chapel) and for at least the first 2 years, the regular line service guy told me I was one of only about 10 residents who were actually signed up on that circuit. I’m sure there are more now, but for a long while, that was not the case.
Also, running fiber is expensive. They may or may not (most likely not) have fibre run out to the boxes in the area. I would just be happy if they could provide better than 10MB/s to my home as other areas get 40MB/s
service on their aDSL circuits.
