Pet overpopulation is a serious issue world-wide. The number of unwanted cats and dogs entering shelters, where many are euthanized, is heartbreaking. This is a global problem, but it can be solved at the local
level in Chatham County through spay/neuter. Spaying pets is the most effective way to prevent unwanted litters of kittens and puppies globally and locally.

CARE is a nonprofit animal welfare organization that promotes responsible pet ownership by educating the community, providing targeted spay/neuter programs, and fostering homeless cats and dogs until they are placed in loving, permanent homes.
