Subject: Taylor Kish remarks
In the last Chatlist Taylor Kish devoted three paragraphs to me. I sent this post to a lady I know who is familiar with these kind of tactics. She checked the name Taylor Kish out to see if there were any public records (tax records, telephone, address – just the most public information that can be found on any of us) and could find no such person in the state of North Carolina, least of all Chatham County or Pittsboro.
She went further to explain that these sort of emotional diatribes are usually created for “astro turf” persons, fictional personalities, that are meant to foment confusion through never really addressing the issues involved but resorting to ad hominum fallacy categorized among the ‘fallacies of irrelevance” in which “a claim or argument is rejected on the basis of some irrelevant fact about the author of or the person presenting the claim or argument.” Apparently, Taylor Kish does not exist but is a persona created solely for the purpose of advancing an agenda for political or commercial interests by appealing to the emotions of fear and anger and discontent.
I could be accused of the same thing if I am wrong. So, I’ll post here and let the chips fall where they may. And if I am wrong I send Taylor Kish my deepest apology for questioning your very existence.
