Subject: LOVED suggestion to turn Chatham Park into a ghetto!
As a resident of Siler City, I must admit I love D. Sedlak’s suggestion to turn Chatham Park into a 7,100 acres of high-density low-income housing.
I am sure the Chatham EDC will LOVE promoting how Chatham County is forever changed to THE location the needy hear about and gravitate to. Can’t get nomore utopian ten that.
I’m sure the Pittsboro Matters people will have no objections to having a ghetto plopped right in their backyard. LOL

Waiting for the weather to clear up so I can take my horses out for a ride. I would invite you along, but you know how much of a “SELFISH ELITIST PLAYGROUND FOR THE AFFLUENT” Siler City has become. We probably wouldn’t let you in 🙂

Subject: Charity Park, NOT Chaps Park
While trails and horse stables sound oh so elegent (albeit environment impactful with trail erosion, horse manure pathogens and nitrogen, and nasty carbon footprint from affluent visitors pulling horse trailers), what happened to sensitivity to the needy, a Pittsboro/Chatham core value. Rather than donate 7,100+ acres to Nature Conservancy, let’s encourage the investors behind Chatham Park do something infinitely more altruistic and charitable.. 7,100+ acres devoted to low-income housing. High-density low-income housing too, surely they can afford it given the extra benefit to those in need.. Not only can they be proud, Pittsboro and Chatham County will be forever changed to THE location the needy hear about and gravitate to. It will be a blessed new chapter here, something we can all share in with neighbors we are proud of.
Our core values OR A SELFISH ELITIST PLAYGROUND FOR THE AFFLUENT?
