I too have had good dealings with the County and Pittsboro LEOs I’ve met.
Professional, courteous, and we could do a LOT worse judging from some of the news from across the nation. My only concern has been that I make it a point to wave to an officer when passing in traffic. I’ve never got a return wave – maybe they’re just focused on the road, IDK. But when I got my CJ degree I learned about community policing, and the importance of breaking down that “us vs. them” mindset. And it works both ways, so I’ll keep waving!
