I recently had a 1970’s banjo repaired and set up by Ben. The repair was just what I wanted. During the procedure he recommended a couple things that would enhance the playability and sound of this banjo. I authorized the repairs and am well pleased with the results. I’ve been a professional luthier for nearly 13 years, building primarily acoustic guitars, as well as doing repair and restoration. I have extensive repair experience, and I specialize in acoustic instrument work.
I believe every instrument, from a vintage Martin or Gibson, to a humble beginners axe, deserve the same level of professional setup. To play their absolute best.
As a musician myself, I understand the very particular nature of setup work, and pride myself on working with my ears as much as my calipers.
Chatham County has been my home for the last 3 years, and while I’ve focused on building custom instruments since I’ve been here, I’m now excited to offer my repair services to my fellow Chatham County musicians.
