Subject: Sharon Decker to keynote Opportunity Chatham, tickets on sale now
Tickets are on sale for the Chatham Economic Development Corporation’s fifth annual Opportunity Chatham, presented by Duke Energy. The event is October 25, 2013 from 7:30 – 10 a.m. at the Barn at Fearrington Village in Pittsboro. Admission includes breakfast catered by Fearrington. Tickets are $30 through October 11 and can be purchased online here www.bit.ly/opportunity13 or by mailing a check with the names of attendees to Chatham EDC, PO Box 1627, Pittsboro, NC 27312.
North Carolina Department of Commerce Secretary Sharon Decker will be the keynote speaker at the event. This year’s program will focus on two major economic development projects in Chatham County. The Chatham-Randolph Megasite, a 1,800-acre site near Siler City, is poised to be the state’s first Certified Megasite. Chatham Park, a 7,100-acre live-work-place community in Pittsboro, expects to break ground on its first projects this fall.
