Thank you for everything in your post that explains the cruelty of tethering a dog.
I really liked the point you made that people don’t buy horses and cows and let them roam free.
I often have dogs that are supposedly “stay at home” pets on my farm chasing my livestock. One pair in particular would chase the horses at 2am. I cured that by calling the owners at 2am to come pick up their dogs.
The next week I heard that the owners got rid of their dogs because they could not control them. A roll of wire and some posts [or use trees] is not that expensive. or an owner can get assistance.
If you care about your dog you will make sure it has a good life – if you don’t care if they get run over, attacked while tethered or just bored to death over a life time, why have a dog?
