Subject: This Week @ The City Tap

Good morning Chatlisters. We’re looking forward to another great weekend of live music, good eats and drinks!  Check out the lineup and see for yourself!  Don’t forget about our daily lunch specials, sandwiches, scratch made soups, salads and hoagies all using local produce.

Wednesday @ 8:00 -* Open Mic*
Come check out some of Pittsboro’s talent at Open Mic!  As always on
Wednesdays it’s $1 off draft beer as well

Thursday @ 8:30 – *The Oblations*
The Oblations can’t be pinned down into a single genre, as the sound is a melting pot of the member’s influences. Friends of The Oblations will join them at shows and in the studio, adding their own personalities to the
musical mix. As a blues unit, The Oblations harken back to a time before “The Bar Blues Band”, when the blues came straight from the soul. Unlike most duos, the Oblations don’t become formulaic, due to the  musicianship of the members and integrity of the songs. Regardless of what genres or instrumentation are presented, what remains consistent is the honesty of the music, the dedication MacPhail and Fields have  towards their craft, and their love of music.

Friday @ 8:30 PM – *Dmitri Resnik Band*
Dmitri Resnik, a musician originally from Chatham County North Carolina, lived in New Orleans over a decade where he played and toured with his own band and with some of the best musicians in the city. He moved back to Chatham in 2001 and brings his own unique New Orleans influenced style to the stage, culminating into a blend of Roots, Rhythm and Blues that will keep your feet moving.

Saturday @ 8:30 PM – *New Town Drunks*
Chapel Hill’s New Town Drunks are musical vagabonds whose members have lived in New York, Texas, Mexico, Detroit and Puerto Rico prior to putting down roots in North Carolina. Many musical acts claim to defy
categorization or classification but New Town Drunks are one of the few outfits that can truly claim that brass ring, having forced music journalists to coin monikers as diverse as nu-vaudeville, rock and roll cabaret and stream of consciousness folk rock to try to capture their rich, eclectic sound.  A New Town Drunks show is reminiscent of Nancy Sinatra fronting The Animals for a cabaret-rock show at a small, smoky club you’ve always looked for but have never been able to find.

Sunday @ 3:00 PM – *Larry G Davis*
