Woods Summer Wonders has many incredible camps for the summer! Check out these two options for Session III which is July 22-26 and consider joining us! These are being taught by Melissa Green and Loretta Hackney who both teach at Woods Charter and have been part of the summer camp program since it started three summers ago.
Act it Out!
Kidsare naturally gifted in DRAMA so let’s put this gift to use! This camp willboost self-confidence, improve public speaking skills, teach children how to bepart of a group and how to work within a group, improve articulation, andincrease creativity. Campers will learn the fundamentals of theater, such as,voice inflection, speaking in front of an audience, improvisation,articulation, variance in tone and volume, facial expressions, appropriategestures without exaggeration, interaction with other performers, audienceawareness, and on and on….

Tour the Town
Eachday we will set off for an adventure around the Triangle. We will visit DukeGardens & the Chapel; The Museum of Life and Science; Carolina TigerRescue, Ackland Art Museum (and have an ice cream party on Franklin Street) andJelly Beans Skating Rink.
