Subject: Dog Wash this Sunday!

Hi, Chatlisters!

I’m Karen Craig, and I have been a Girl Scout Leader for 4 years now – my Troop consists of 10 rising sixth-graders who are currently working on their Bronze Award community service project.  Since all of the girls are animal lovers in the extreme, we are having a:

DOG WASH – Fundraiser and Supply Drive to Benefit the Chatham County Animal Shelter

This Sunday, July 14th from 1 to 4pm beside Town & Country Hardware at Chatham Downs Shopping Center – across the parking lot from Harris Teeter.

Prices range from $5 to $20 depending on size and fur.*  CASH ONLY, please.

We will be collecting the following items to be donated to the animal shelter:
-Old Blankets and Towels
-Wet or Dry Puppy Food
-Wet or Dry Kitten Food
-Dog Toys and Treats (Rawhides are Great, too!!)
-Cat Litter

We are also offering home baked dog treats in two sizes – a Small Bag for $3.00 and a Large Bag for $5.00, in a delicious variety of flavors.

100% of the proceeds from the wash and treat sales will be donated to the Chatham County Animal Shelter.

We are being sponsored by DIRTY HAIRIES – a small local dog groomer, owned and operated by Jennifer Hagens.     “GO AHEAD, MAKE MY APPOINTMENT!”  She will be offering prizes to be raffled – enter to win a grooming session and other great stuff!  Dirty Hairies is also supplying our shampoo and the dog washing tubs.

Special thanks to Town & Country Hardware for providing the space and water that we are using!  They have been fantastic!
