Chatham Residents Needed for County Library Advisory Committee
PITTSBORO- The Chatham County Library Advisory Committee, which primarily advises staff on library programs and operations, has three vacancies. Residents interested in serving on the committee should apply by July 8, 2013.
The Chatham County Board of Commissioners will make the appointments and appointees would be eligible for reappointment to a full three-year term.
One vacancy is an appointment of three years by the full Board of Commissioners. The other two are for specific county commissioner districts as shown below, but interested residents in other areas can apply.
* District 1, which is in the far northeastern corner of the county, initial appointment of two years
* District 5 , which covers the southwestern quadrant of the county, initial appointment of three years
A map of commissioner districts and an online application form can be found at: www.chathamnc.org/Index.aspx?page=49<http://www.chathamnc.org/Index..aspx?page=49>. Or call Lindsay Ray at 919-542-8200 to have an application form copy sent to you.
The Library Advisory Committee typically meets four times a year in the mornings. The meetings are rotated between the three libraries in Goldston, Pittsboro and Siler City.
