Friday @ 8:30 PM – *Low Counts*
The Low Counts are an Americana/Roots Rock guitar-drum duo. Matt Walsh’s original music is a hodge podge of the all of the music that influences him the most, finding he and drummer, Austin Hicks effortlessly combining early 40’s and 50’s Mississippi/Urban/Piedmont Blues, 50’s Sun Records styled Rock/Rockabilly, 60’s Garage Rock, 70’s Stoner Rock, old Country, Stax Soul, Hip-Hop or whatever else he can find to throw in the pot. As long as it comes out of the mash-up sounding original, real, fresh and if it rocks, it gets the stamp of approval. This duo isn’t easy to categorize, but one thing anyone could agree on is that whatever comes out of it, it’s always
no-nonsense, raw, energetic, primal and coming from many music avenues at once, weaving them into one unique sound.

Saturday @ 8:30 PM  – * Iron Will and the Chain Gang*
Iron Will and the Chain Gang are an up-and-coming blues-rock band based out of the Chapel Hill/Carrboro area. Labeled by one audience member as “gravel soul,” Iron Will & the Chain Gang fuses the influences of hard rock, soul, prewar bluesmen and modern alternative rock to produce a sound with a classic, throwback body and a powerful modern engine.

Sunday @ 3:00 PM – *Mark Holland*
With over 100 registered songs (BMI) to his credit, he has recorded on 18 albums. Mark continues to write and perform as a solo artist (with the blues moniker “Hammock”, an Army nickname) specializing in country blues.
Holland is a NC native who’s first performances came at age 10, when he sang backing vocals and played drums for a local gospel group, the Singing Disciples, in the small North Carolina town of Monroe. In the mid-1990s he and his twin brother, Michael, formed a roots-rock band called Jennyanykind. That band played what Steve Klinge, writing in Harp, described as “low-key, rough-and-tumble country-blues swagger.”  Recently Mark has performed with acts such as Robert Randolph & the Family Band, Southern Culture on the Skids and the Afghan Whigs to name a few
