Trouble with Century Link?

Subject: Trouble with Century Link?

We have Century Link for phone and internet, and we are constantly having trouble. Especially with the phone service.

We’ll get a single ring and then it goes dead. The caller will call back and it goes directly to voice mail or a busy signal. Sometimes we have a dial tone and can make outgoing calls, but other times we have no service at all. I’ve called to report the problem on at least 5 occasions and they’ve “fixed” the problem at the main office. But then a few weeks later, we’ll have the same thing.

Anyone else have these issues? It seems that if they can fix the problem from their end, it must not just be our service that is affected.

  1. Absolutely. Centurylink is the worst run company I have EVER dealt with. If I have any problem, it takes at least four phone calls for them to correct it. They couldn’t even get me connected until about a month after we moved in. I cringe every time I get a bill because I know they got something wrong, and I will have to talk to 5 or 6 people over 4 or 5 phone calls to finally get it right.
    I am seriously looking for another phone/internet provider. Suggestions?
