Subject: Cost of Poverty Experience – Simulation
According to the US Census Bureau, the poverty level in Chatham is 12.2% and data from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction indicates that 50.66% of our children are receiving free or reduced meals.
Increase your awareness of how our low-income neighbors struggle to care for their families. Experience what it feels like to live in “survival mode.”
If you missed the Poverty Awareness Event in July, OneChatham will be facilitating another poverty simulation.
