Subject: UnWined At Raleigh Street Gallery’s Wined Down Thursday
I just saw a post for the Raleigh Street Gallery’s Wined Down Thursday painting class and wanted to share my experience with it.
First of all, I was a little intimidated about going as I have somewhat limited experience with acrylic painting and didn’t want to make a fool of myself but I needn’t have worried as nearly everyone there was a first time painter in any media. To make a long (& fun) story short, I attended the last class and had a great time.
Cassie, the instructor, was thorough and very helpful. The painting subject was a sunflower of sorts & I wondered if I’d be able to pull it off but I did and even came to like what I’d done even though it was very different for me.
If you have any desire to paint whatsoever, I can highly recommend this class. Even if you just need a night out and don’t know what else to do, I can guarantee a fun time.

Subject: Clay, Art & Painting Classes & Lessons
October is right around the corner and Fall is in the air! Here are the art opportunities for next month at the Raleigh Street Gallery, located in downtown Siler City…
In October we have 2 painting sessions. Our first will be on Oct 20th from 12pm – 2pm, and the second class will be the “Wined Down Thursday”evening class on Oct 25th from 7pm to 9pm. Both of the art images are available on our Facebook page – just type Raleigh Street Gallery in the search bar. In both classes our instructor will lead you
thru the process of painting with acrylics on canvas. Materials are provided. Cost of either class is $30.. Please email or call the Gallery at 919-663-6278 for more information and to preregister. Beginners welcome!!
Kids & Clay – October 13th from 11am to 12pm. Ages 8 and up. Younger children welcome with adult help. Come and make a clay pumpkin! We provide all materials and instruction to make a pottery pumpkin. Cost $15. Preregister now!
Private art lessons for children (or adults) on Mondays or Saturdays. One hour session is $20. Call to schedule.
Private pottery lessons (call to schedule) – one hour session $25 plus materials.
Don’t forget we offer painting on canvas parties as well as the paint-your-own pottery parties. Let’s hear it for custom & original gifts!!
