Subject: Buy Tickets Now for Opportunity Chatham 10/19
The Chatham Economic Development Corporation will host its fourth annual Opportunity Chatham meeting October 19, 2012 from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Central Carolina Business Campus (Campus Drive) in Siler City.
This year’s event will showcase Siler City, now entering its third year as a NC Small Town Economic Prosperity (STEP) town. Speakers include Mark Bensen, President and CEO of the Triangle Community Foundation, Jason Gray, Director of Research and Innovation for the North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center, and Dan Gerlach,
President of the Golden LEAF Foundation. All three organizations recognize the town’s potential for growth and development and have made significant investments in its future.
This year’s naming sponsor is Triangle Community Foundation, a nonprofit organization based in Durham that manages philanthropic funds and gives grants to other nonprofit groups in Wake, Durham, Orange and Chatham counties. In the 2010 – 2011 fiscal year, TCF granted more than $14 million to nonprofits, schools and community efforts.
Gold sponsors are Arauco USA LLC, a particleboard, MDF and TFM manufacturer in Moncure, and Progress Energy, an electric power company serving customers in the Carolinas and Florida.

The event will be held at the cul-de-sac on Campus Drive in the Central Carolina Business Campus. From Highway 64 West, turn left onto Progress Boulevard. Campus Drive is the first left. Parking is available along Campus Drive, with handicap parking available upon request.
