I have had the privilege of being invited as a guest speaker and a “one-on-one interviewer” of Northwood High (10th, 11th, 12th grades) students for the past several years. I review their resumes and then conduct mock (HR type) interviews. Those of you who have something to offer should perhaps try this – you’ll get more out of it than you share! I’m sure you’ll find that our/your kids are getting a very good education and have some amazing goals (via resumes) that I would not have heretofore imagined! Some very bright youngsters!

I give the (local) teachers very high grades and concur with the REBUTTAL that teachers are being “over paid” and have “routine hours” and “partial year” employment. NOT SO IMHO – I would not want to stand on my feet – much less sit at a desk and teach the number of (kids/students) and hours that I have witnessed! Northwood teacher, DeLisa Cohen, for example – is one of these dedicated servants who puts in a very full day at her classes, at home, and then planning during the summer – notwithstanding her involvement as a coach with sports/cheer leading etc. after classes – how she (and many others like her) do all this, raise a family etc. is beyond me – it’s gotta be DEDICATION – it sure isn’t the remuneration! I do think the that their sense of accomplishment must make up for the lack of salary! Want their J-O-B-S = Just Over Broke (:> not for a minute! – God Bless them all!
