Subject: Free Document Shredding – Sat. Apr. 21
The Chatham County Solid Waste & Recycling Division will offer free document shredding for Earth Day at its main facility at 720 County Landfill Road on Saturday, April 21, 2012 from 9am to 1pm. Chatham residents can bring a maximum of three boxes or bags of paper per vehicle. To both recycle and prevent identity theft, the service provides a post-tax season opportunity for residents to safely destroy and recycle old tax records, credit card statements, and other personal documents.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS – SATURDAY, APRIL 21, 2012
– Mulch Sale ($5 per scoop) – 7:30am to 12noon
– Document Shredding (free) – 9am to 1pm
– Compost Bin Sales ($45) & Kitchen Collector Sales ($5) – 9am to 1pm
– Household Hazardous Waste & Electronics Drop-off – 9am to 3pm
