Subject: Carolina Tiger Rescue Launches Summer Camp
PITTSBORO, N.C. — Carolina Tiger Rescue is launching Big Cat Safari, the five-day camp will host children ages 9-11. Big Cat Safari will be offered for two sessions — Monday, June 4, 2012 through Friday, June 8, 2012 and Monday, June 11, 2012 through Friday, June 15, 2012. Each day will run from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will feature educational activities, projects, games and more. Campers will study the preservation and care of these endangered species, and observe the animal behaviors of Carolina Tiger Rescue’s species, some of which are not normally available on weekend tours. They will utilize scientific techniques and creative expression to develop lifelong learning skills.
Each child will earn the title of Big Cat Ambassador. They will have the knowledge and tools necessary to make educated decisions on how they can support conservation actions that directly help exotic cats in the captivity and in the wild.
Enrollment is limited to ten children per week, and preference will be given to Carolina Tiger Rescue’s members and their families. The camp cost is $300 per child and includes tours, a camp shirt, and more. To learn more about Big Cat Safari and to enroll send emails to .
Carolina Tiger Rescue is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit wildlife sanctuary that is dedicated to saving and protecting wildcats in captivity and the wild.
