I also use Frontline on my pets, but I refuse to spray myself, the yard, or the house with chemical agents. It’s a pretty good bet that I’ll be the one to get sick, while the bugs will just get resistant and thrive. I’ve tried every “natural, herbal” product. Nothing works against those hardy little pests.
A couple of years ago I saw a report on WRAL about a natural, plant-derived insect repellent that actually works. This is a spray that you use on yourself and your clothing. It is Homs’ Biteblocker Xtreme for crawling insects like ticks and chiggers. (They also have products for flying insects like biting flies, mosquitoes etc. and many other products for lawn/garden/house/pets/livestock etc.).
I tried it – it works! What a relief! I’ll never be without it again.
Here is their website: http://www.homs.com/about-us/
Not only does their product work, but their company is based in right here in Pittsboro!
