If the fax machine is no longer working then the only non-trash option is the country e-cycle center. There is an e-cycle center at the main landfill location (on 64W heading out of Pittsboro) as well as at the various satellite recycling centers throughout the county.
For others interested in this response, I want to remind you that Computer Therapy, Inc has an active computer recycling/donation program in which I accept older computer systems, upgrade them as necessary, refurbish them to full functionality, and then provide them to needy families, non-profits, etc.
Over the 5+ years of this program we have provided over 300 computers to single parent homes, disabled adults hoping to improve their education, non-profits, low-income families, and many others whose life just needed something positive to give them the extra boost to make a difference.
As the holiday season approaches I hope you will contact me if you have any desktop or laptop computers that might be available for donation to our program. There is no charge for this service.either to the donor or the recipient. A donation receipt is provided based on current market value.
