Subject: Re: AFS Student currently at Northwood now needs a host family in the Northwood district
An exchange student from Thailand and through AFS (American Field Service), attends Northwood as a Junior; he arrived in late August before school started. His host family situation has changed and he needs a new host home to finish out the school year at Northwood.
If you think you would like to serve as a host family, please contact as soon as possible, as the student is currently in an interim home but needs to be placed in a regular host home. I would be most happy to talk with any interested family and help set up a meeting with the student. He enjoys singing and is taking Chorus at school, ran X-Country for the first time and is now about to take on wrestling, is in the Chess and Anime Clubs. His English is quite good.
We are working hard to help make a new host home happen hopefully within the next month so that his exchange experience here in Chatham County and in the U.S. turns out to be a pleasant one. Please contact Bev Sizemore at 542-1796, 843-6247 (w), bevsize-at-email.unc.edu or Margaret Johnson at
