Subject: Siler City Farmers Market
The Siler City Farmer’s Market will be open every Saturday through the month of October and possibly into November if the late produce holds out.
We are also planning some special events for the end of the season. Some folks have asked if we plan to repeat last year’s Chili Cook-Off. Yes, the Chili Cook-Off will be held during the Siler City Third Friday Art Walk on October 21st. All the Chili cooks in the area are invited to bring a pot of their best. Judging will be by popular vote with your pocket change with all the money going to the West Chatham Food Pantry. Winners of the Chili Cook-Off will receive gift certificates to the Farmers’ Market. Those who don’t cook can buy a bowl of their favorite chili, with corn bread and drink for $5.00. Watch for more details as to where it will be held next week.
Looking ahead, we will also be doing our Octoberfest grilled bratwurst during the Halloween Hoopla on October 29th.
