For those who would like to make comments on the issue of hunting with dogs in Chatham County, the agency that needs to hear your comments is the NC Wildlife Resources Commission, which has jurisdiction over wildlife as well as all fishing and hunting within the county and the state.

One more reminder for hunters and landowners alike: In Chatham County, it is not legal to “Hunt with a firearm or bow and arrow or possess same, except with express written permission, dated within the previous 12 months, of the landowner or lessee.”

Ban dog hunting in NC please. I’m tired of taking dogs to the pound and having disrespectful dog hunters trespass on my private property.. Boycott any business that supports dog hunting.
