Subject: Inaugural festival of this North Carolina-centric beer

The inaugural festival of this North Carolina-centric beer, farm fresh food and music will take place on Saturday, September 3rd, at Shakori Hills. Gates open at 12pm music will go through 12am.

Musicians performing are Bill Toms and Hard Rain (a poet, a soul-shouter, and guitar slinger–a great rock n’ soul band), The Galactic Cowboy Orchestra (Chick Corea meets The Dixie Dregs meets A Prairie Home Companion), The Olympic Ass Kickin’ Team (Imagine a blend of The Faces, the Stones, NRBQ!), Greg Humphreys (fronted the bands Dillon Fence and HOBEX. You all know him!) , The Lizzy Ross Band (fuses jazz and folk music with dirty blues, rock and soul), and Cortete (Chatham County’s newest concoction of groove!).

Camping is free, and tickets for the music festival part are $15 in advance, $20 day of show.  Food and beverage tickets can be purchased the day of the festival.

The festival ties together the “farm to fork” and sustainable movements going on in the area with our local beer and music. Look for kids activities, local art and craft vendors, educational booths, and a farmers market on site too!
