So it’s been awhile . . .
This weekend intensive is for folks who’ve had a weaving class but need to
get back in the game. If you need a quick refresher or are stuck on a
project and need help over the hump, this class is for you. You can bring
your own loom and work on a project of your choosing, or you can use one of
our looms and make this cute, log cabin draw-string bag or other quick
project that can be completed over the weekend.
We’ll start Friday evening, 7-9p, planning projects and selecting
materials. We’ll work all day Saturday, 9a-4p, to get you up to speed.
The Studio (and instructor) will be available all day on Sunday to help you
wrap up, so there’s no rush and no pressure!

Weaving at the NC Arts Incubator
This class is for weavers of all levels. Jean Vollrath has been teaching

Community College (CCCC) since 2004 when the Incubator first opened. The
class meets for 8 weeks from 6:30p-9:30p on Tuesday nights. This next
session starts Sept 13 and runs through Nov 1. Students can choose from a
variety of projects appropriate to their skill level or design a project of
their own. Students will learn how to dress a loom, calculate yarn
requirements, read draft notation and use the shuttle to create unique
natural fiber fabrics.
All skill levels are welcome!
