There’s the rub. If I’m out in the country at night coming home from somewhere and break down, I would not have the fainted idea who was open at that hour and what their phone number was. And even moreso if I were traveling in unfamiliar territory out of state.
I feel very safe having that plastic card in my wallet with a phone number on it, and my cell phone handy, so I can make ONE call, knowing the closest open AAA affiliated garage will be contacted and will respond. My cost is under $100 ($89?) for both me and my son and the peace of mind is well worth it.
