Subject: EF Foundation for Foreign Study looking for host families
EF Foundation for Foreign Study is currently looking for families in Chatham County to open their hearts and homes to high school foreign exchange students for the 2011-2012 school year.
Host families provide room, board and a caring environment for a semester or academic year. In exchange for hosting you will gain an international son or daughter, learn about another culture, promote international education, and become a part of the EF family! Hosting will change your world view and your life — forever!
EF exchange students are between the ages of 15 and 18, proficient in English and carefully screened . The majority of students stay for a full year and attend a local high school. Students come from more than 25
countries including: China, Denmark, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, South Korea, Taiwan, & Thailand.
Since 1979, EF Foundation’s team of dedicated volunteers, local coordinators, and staff has helped over 90,000 students from nearly 40 countries participate in International Exchange programs. EF Foundation’s global reach and local support has made it the largest facilitator of high school year programs for exchange students coming to the United States.
