Let’s all remember, black snakes are positive members of our local environments, as it is reported that their presence keeps the copperhead snakes under control. If chickens are housed properly, the black snakes will not be a threat there.

Since I moved here thirty-five  years ago, I have seen a decline in whippoorwills, screech owls, barred  owls, hawks, flickers, hummingbirds, wild turkeys, foxes, honey bees, monarch butterflies, to name some. It’s time we learned to live with nature, rather than fearing it and reacting out of our fear.
