Today, as you go about your activities for the day, whether it be to celebrate with a cookout with friends and family or to relax on a day off of work, please remember the significance of Memorial Day.
Memorial Day commemorates United States Service Members who died while in military service defending our Nation and its values. These heroes sacrificed so that we could continue to live in a country where freedom exists for all.
We must not forget the sacrifices that were made by both those that lost their lives and their families, and we should be thankful that brave, courageous United States Service Members continue to risk their lives for our freedom.
