Friends & Music Lovers:
Join us in celebrating our local food co-op’s birthday this Saturday, May 21, from 1-3pm, at the Chatham Marketplace in Pittsboro.
Chatham County’s newest concoction of groove, Cortête (core-TET, as in “core” or coeur for heart + tête for “head”), features Elizabeth Haddix (bass/acoustic guitar/vocals), Wes Newel l(trombone/harmonica/flugelhorn/keys), Arturo Velasquez (drums/percussion) and Tim Walker (mandolin/guitar/bass)– a varied feast of americana-folk-punk seasoned with uncompromising, rough-around-the-edges lyrics and soulful improvisations.
